Carpe diem!

23.12.2021 Language won't suffice to chronicle this day!! No poetry will serve the purpose! It was such a great day! The MTTC Christmas celebration exceeded all our expectations and surpassed all our fancies. The inauguration of the programme was doneby Rev. Fr. Jolly Karimbil in a formal gathering in the morning. All of us were given cake on the occasion and we cut a cake in our optional class together with our seniors and our dear Meekha Ma'am.  All that sweetness was supplemented by the fantabulous performances by both the students fraternity and the teaching faculties including the Principal. Our teachers, oh my God! They are so lovable, so cute, and unimaginably beautiful. Yes, the day was worth living.

May all our work be grace to your name...!

A new day at MTTC started with the morning assembly conducted by the Mathematics optional students. They have done it in such an amazing way that we felt a little bit jealous of them. They have named their association 'Dyuthi', having the motto 'unleash the fire within'. In the absence of our reverend Principal, our beloved Joju Sir conveyed the message of the day. An amazing story teller he is, an excellent motivator, an empathetic friend and a lovable human soul! Above all, he seemed very handsome today! He enlightened us with his words and helped us feel positive and virtuous.  Following the assembly, Maya Ma'am engaged us and elaborated with examples the teacher qualities and competencies. It was after a few days interlude that Ancy Ma'am engaged us. She explained to us the principles of growth and development. During the last period, we immersed ourselves in crafting the 'letter to Santa' while some of our classmates joined the practice ...

Though far away just a college it seems; Nearing one knows much more than it is...!

Such is the day that we didn't realize how fast the day has gone by. The first period was allotted to a group activity where we discussed the issues of cyber misuse and the security measures we ought to take to reduce the number of such troubles. Maya Ma'am engaged us in the second period and she explained the qualities and competencies required for being a teacher. Joju Sir engaged us later on. He developed the points we have gathered through our group discussion. For the afternoon session, we had a Christmas card making competition conducted by the Mathematics optional as part of the Christmas celebration. We pooled our artistic ideas and creativity to craft the same. Last period was handled by Joju Sir who grabbed our minds and brains through his short and inspiring session.

Have a break, have a tea...

The presentation of the qualities that make a teacher favourite and not so favorite continued in this class as well. All of us shared our experiences and that made us know ourselves better. Our dear Meekha Ma'am listened all our stories with a patient ear; laughed with us, shared her anxieties with us, and even consoled us when some of us sobbed out of grief while sharing the experience. Since most of the teachers didn't turn up today, Joju Sir engaged for the rest of the day. He divided among us the assignment topics and explained the ways and means by which we can make our assignments the best. We took a break during the last period which was allotted for library and reference, and had a  cup of coffee and snack which was not part of the timetable. By the way, കറ നല്ലതാണ്!!!

സുദിനം.ശുഭദിനം.

The first period was engaged by Meekha Ma'am. She gave us the assignment topics and explained how to prepare and present those topics in the class. The she asked us to list out the qualities of both our favourite and not so favourite teacher. Athira, Kavya, Bharath and Austin shared some of their experiences both pleasant and irritating. Maya Ma'am engaged us later on and we were asked write a feedback of her class. Joju Sir, in his afternoon session, gave a general introduction to the advantages and disadvantages of Technology.

The NAAC day 2!

Image
Though it was the second day of the NAAC visit, there was nothing worth mentioning about the day. It was 'Assembly Day', and the college union conducted the assembly. During the assembly procedures, representatives from each optional handed over a Christmas gift to the principal which was exemplary. We were all in traditional Kerala sarees and that made us spend the whole day posing for photos and selfies. All our teachers were busy with tasks that were not known to us that we played 'Anthakshari' during the class time. We were cozy and comfortable and the day seemed too short to cherish our mood.

The NAAC day!

The first day of the NAAC visit seemed quite usual except for the cultural programme, which was a real feast for the eyes. We reached the college almost 1 hour before the regular college time and left the college very late. As per the special timetable, we had a yoga session for almost 2 hours and in the afternoon, an aerobic session for 30 minutes. Though it was difficult and uncomfortable to engage in Yoga and Aerobics wearing sarees, we managed to perform our best. All the tediousness of the day was wiped out by the outstanding performances by our collegemates which deserve special appreciation. They performed different dance forms from different states of India, highlighting our country's unity and cultural heritage. Truly, it made our day.

#talenthunt #bedenglish #mttc

Assembled

Image
Every assembly day is special and ours seemed more special since all the eighteen hearts stormed their brains to get the best results. We sought, we strove and finally  made the first assembly of ours memorable. We named our association 'Aliferous', meaning 'having wings'. Yes, we do have wings, and we plan to 'fly high together'. #firstassemblybyenglishassociation #mttc

They also serve who only stand and wait.

I won't forget, I can't forget this day in my lifetime! It gave me experiences that any classroom fails to dispense, any textbook fails to display. The two hours visit to 'Shanthi Mandiram', a home for the destitute, mentally challenged people, completely changed my perception of life on earth, and promised to haunt my thoughts permanently. Those innocent, dejected faces reminded me of the pitiable plight of the human race which I haven't witnessed or personally experienced till date. We exhibited our tiny talents before them, to make them a little bit happy or to make them engaged for a while. Their talents were astonishing and their pains tear-jerking. Words won't suffice to express our love for the handful of people who take care of those poor souls. They are God themselves in disguise, I should say. In a world where humanity hardly exists, these human Gods set examples to be followed. We prayed for them, we prayed with them and left the place wit...

A day well spent! How we aspire to be a teacher like you Ma'am...! #Ashama'am
