School Induction 3rd Day.

It's been three days since we started the school induction and we have not been tired of going to the school. Nothing magnificent happens there, yet watching so many vibrant faces makes us really happy. Their passion, play and pastime take us to those schooldays where we gleamed in childhood vigour.  We are thrust with no tremendous tasks there and we use the leisure time for doing other  beneficiary activities such as exploring the school campus, library and labs. I was asked to engage the 10th standard students at the fourth hour and I did it with much pleasure. They were such nice students that I longed to engage their class the next day as well. Aneesha, our team leader, did some queries about the club activities with one of the staffs there and gathered enough information. We left the school campus at the usual time with a content heart.

07.01.2022 തിയോഫിലസിലെ ഓരോ ദിവസവും ഓരോ പുതിയ അനുഭവങ്ങളാണ്; ഓരോ അനുഭവങ്ങളും ഓരോ പുതിയ  ഓർമകളും. ഇന്നെന്ത് അത്ഭുതമാണ് കോളേജ് എല്ലാർക്കുമായി കാത്തുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന കൗതുകവും പേറിയാണ് ഓരോ ദിവസവും പുലരുക. അത്തരം കുഞ്ഞുകുഞ്ഞു  ചിന്തകളുമായാണ് ഇന്നും കോളേജിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിച്ചത്. ദിവസത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ മണിക്കൂറുകളിൽ പുതുമയുള്ളതൊന്നും സംഭവിച്ചില്ല. സത്യലേഖ മാമിന്റെ ഓപ്‌ഷണൽ ക്ലാസ് വിരസതയില്ലാതെ കടന്നുപോയി. തിയറി ക്ലാസ് സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ കാലേ കൂട്ടി തയാറെടുത്തിരുന്ന ഞങ്ങളുടെ മുന്നിലേക്ക് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായാണ് ആ കുഞ്ഞു മനുഷ്യൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്. ഉയരം കുറഞ്ഞ, തീരെ മെലിഞ്ഞ, തിളക്കമുള്ള കണ്ണുകളും പ്രസാദമുള്ള മുഖവുമുള്ള ഒരാൾ. ആദ്യനോട്ടത്തിൽ ഇതാരെന്ന സംശയം തോന്നി. ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ പുറംചട്ട നോക്കി വിലയിരുത്തരുതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തെളിയിച്ചു. തുടക്കം മുതൽ ഒടുക്കം വരെ ഞങ്ങളിൽ ഒരാളുടെ പോലും ശ്രദ്ധ മാറാതെ, താൽപ്പര്യം തെല്ലും കുറയാതെ, പൂർണമായും തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന, ആസ്വാദ്യകരമായ ഒരു പഠനാനുഭവം അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. കേവലം 40 മിനിറ്റ് മാത്രമുള്ള പിരീഡുകൾക്ക് നീളം കൂടുതലാണെന്ന് വിഷമിച്ചിരുന്ന ഞങ്ങൾക്ക്...

പ്രണയവർണങ്ങൾ

വിക്ടർ, വിക്ടർ ആയിരുന്നു എന്റെ ഹീറോ. ഇരു നിറമുള്ള, കുഞ്ഞു താടിരോമങ്ങളുള്ള, കണ്ണുകളിൽ അലിവും ചുണ്ടിൽ സദാ ചെറു പുഞ്ചിരിയുമുള്ള സ്നേഹിക്കാൻ മാത്രമറിയാവുന്ന, മേമ്പൊടിക്ക് ഇച്ചിരി വിപ്ലവവും കൈമുതലായുള്ള വിക്ടർ. "അവളുടെ കവിളിലില്‍ തുടു വിരലാലേ കവിതകളെഴുതിയതാരേ.. മുകുളിതയാക്കിയതാരേ.... അവളേ പ്രണയിനിയാക്കിയതാരേ.." എന്ന വരികളോടൊപ്പം വിക്ടറിനെ മനസ്സിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്നെങ്കിലുമൊരിക്കൽ എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നുവരാൻ പോകുന്ന, എവിടെയോ ഉള്ള ചെറുപ്പക്കാരന് ആ മുഖമായിരിക്കണമെന്ന്, ആ മനസ്സായിരിക്കണമെന്ന് ഞാൻ  ഒത്തിരി ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പിന്നീട്, എന്റെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾക്ക് വിപരീതമായി, നന്നേ വെളുത്ത്, ഉയരം കുറഞ്ഞ സുമുഖനായ യുവാവ് ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ പാതി ചോദിച്ചു വന്നപ്പോൾ തെല്ലൊരാശയക്കുഴപ്പം തോന്നാതിരുന്നില്ല . കാഴ്ചയിൽ വിക്ടറിന്റെ രൂപമില്ലെങ്കിലും വ്യക്തി സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിൽ കൈ കടത്താത്ത, വ്യക്തിസത്തയെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന, പരസ്പര ബഹുമാനത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന, മാനസികമായും ശാരീരികമായും വൈകാരികമായും ആശ്രയിക്കാനുതകുന്ന കൂട്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ബോധ്യപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ഒരുമിച്ചൊഴുകാൻ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ശേഷം നാളിതുവരെയ...

Demonstration Class.

I took a break from the teaching practice for a day. Do you know why? Because I was asked and summoned to take the demonstration class at college. After successfully completing the two sessions of teaching practice, it is not at all a task to engage a class. That much equipped we are with our teaching pedagogy and experiences. But still, I was all tensed and nervous, for I was supposed to engage the class of 6 people, almost all of them having a master degree! See the irony! You can fill an empty bottle, that's easier, I think. But what about bottles that are filled to the brim?! Yet, I managed to engage them satisfactorily. I tried hard to make them least bored; to help them maintain their interest even though the grammar portion was thorough to them.  Anyway, that was yet another page of experience in the book of my life.
