School Induction Programme AKA Friends, Fun and More.
17. 02. 2022
Though I (perhaps everyone) was quite excited and tensed about the school induction programme, the first day of induction seemed quite relaxed and calm. We were 14 in number and were allotted to GMHSS Venjaramoodu. We reached the school by 9.15 am and reported at the Headmaster's office on time. The Headmaster, who was a pleasant and admirable personality, extended a warm welcome. We were asked to occupy the SPC room since there were no vacant classrooms. Though the room was congested with so many items, we found it okay and comfortable. 'We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails', right?! For almost two hours we were left with no tasks and we used the time effectively for strengthening our friendship. We talked about our family, friends, experiences, expectations and what not?! Yes, we made the bond stronger. In the fourth hour, we, Arsha and me, were asked to engage the 9th standard students and that was really a great experience. We used the afternoon sessions to familiarize ourselves with the school buildings and surroundings, and taking snaps of the same. And yes, we posed for selfies too! We left the school at 3. 3o pm, and the SPC cadets were having their routine parade practice sessions at the moment. Well, the day was good.
